The Ocean Consulting story

Ocean Consulting AS was founded by Svein Helge Guldteig to help business owners and investors in the maritime industry improve performance and reduce costs in the areas of marine asset management, business transformation, and technical services. We have managed fleetwide marine asset operations, directed technical and operational due diligence projects, and implemented changes required to achieve and surpass organisational goals.

Ocean Consulting partners with ship owners, managers and operators, financial institutions, and other consulting and service companies, and have completed 100+ consulting engagements in shipping and offshore market segments to customers in Europe, the US, EMEA, and SEA. Areas of focus have included operations and maintenance costs, planning and managing docking and ship repairs, reactivation costs after lay-up, IoT, machine learning, new environmental technologies, vessel performance monitoring, vessel S&P and BB advice, and technical advisory services.

Decades of professional maritime experience spanning engineering, technology, operations, business consulting, and senior management informs our vast knowledge base, one that informs our insights when identifying and resolving critical operational issues, conducting technical audits, and providing recommendations that generate measurable value. Our capabilities are augmented by an integrated global network of marine industry professionals representing a range of disciplines, from engineers to executive consultants with C-level experience.
